SEO and ASO are equally important for your app’s success. Read on to know how!
SEO & ASO

We are already well versed with the term SEO that stands for Search Engine Optimization and it is being widely exploited by the web developers to optimize their websites and web content in order to get organically discovered in the search engines by potential users. Now, the ASO (yes, sounds very similar to SEO) that stands for App Store Optimization has embarked in the mobile market and has been successful in grabbing all the due attention in last couple of years with its functionalities that it serves to the apps in particular.

Certainly, its an era of optimizing your content for the mobile and it is something that cannot be overlooked by the developers as well as marketers if you are seriously willing to be successful. Indeed, the most thriving aspect that is leveraging the mobile market today are Apps. We are already aware that every app developer is showing major dependency on App Store Optimization in order to grab a better discoverability and better ranking in the app stores. So does it mean that app discovery has nothing to do with the web search engines?

The fact is, SEO is equally important for the mobile content. These aspects listed below will tell us how:

 1.   Just like users search for apps in the App Store, there is a major possibility of them considering web search engines like Google and Bing to discover app of their choices.

 2.  All of the major app marketing tools like app landing page, press releases and app reviews are a part of the web content, which makes it obvious that people will only be able to discover them if they are search engine optimized and they grab a niche place on the front page.

 3.  Moreover, buzz marketing  and social media marketing that also serve as crucial tools are carried out on the web platforms, which suggests that they are suppose to be keyword rich as well.

 4.  Also, it is believed that App store search will be incorporating little amount of score for web-based data in the future.

While, ASO looks after optimizing the app features and meta-data for the app stores, SEO at the same time takes care of application’s meta-data and the content for the web that plays an equally important role in the discoverability of the app. Hence, the idea is to focus on the same keywords for both SEO and ASO efforts.  They both jointly can make a greater difference to make your app stand out by targeting the right audience via all the available means.
